Dhruva Adhikari was elected as the Chairman of Thamel Tourism Development Council. According to the vote count of the council’s 28th and 29th annual general meetings and elections, he defeated another candidate for the chairmanship, Bhaviswar Sharma.
Election Officer Umadevi Prasai informed that Rajiv Pandey, Sahdev Dhamala and Shrikrishna Thapalia won for the three posts of Vice President.
Similarly, Badri Prasad Timalsina was elected as the general secretary, Punyaram Lageju as the secretary and Prakash Thapaliya as the treasurer. Among the members are Kopila Sinkhra, Roshan Adhikari,
Kumar Nepali, Vinod Shrestha, Amrit Thokar (Lama), Sanukaji Maharjan, Ramesh Vishwakarma and Badri Prasad Aryal were elected, Election Officer Prasai said.
Out of 1,193 voters, 1,031 voters voted for the 15-member working committee.
